Southeast Michigan Family Camping Activities
Camping in Michigan is different than year-round camping elsewhere in the United States. Our campers enjoy a wide variety of activities Spring, Summer and Fall, right within our family-friendly campground, plus we are located close to some favorite attractions in Southeastern Michigan.
Some people just enjoy the camping experience, while others look for a campground that has a lot of fun, family-friendly activities to help pass the time. Indian Creek Camp and Conference Center offers the best of both worlds – a quiet camping atmosphere, and popular activities for many ages! We are always working hard to provide family camping at its best, and this year we are excited to offer an outstanding line up of events. Enjoy finding your favorite activities and camp often!
RC Field of Dreams – Dirt RC Race Track Open to campers and registered guests. Free to use, bring your own RC vehicles. RC Fans rejoice – this race course features tight turns and big jumps. Join us on RC RACE WEEKENDS to win Trophies and enter the many competitions designed for racers of all ages. Spectators are welcome!
Meet our Llamas – proud animals who have their own personality! Many children love watching them in the field near the back of the campground. Get some ‘llama gold’ from the camp store and you can have them eating out of the palm of your hand! Home of the Llamapalooza! An annual Spring event that gives you the opportunity to walk a llama and get to know them close up.
You may fish for small mouth bass and bluegill in our man-made ponds; fishing is catch-and-release only. We have fishing derbies on select weekends to see who can get the biggest fish. The largest bass caught so far was 24 inches long! Our man-made ponds are 10 to 25 feet deep, with the largest pond about 1 acre in size. Enjoy a kayak or paddle boat ride on this pond, but please remember that parents must sign them out and register at the camp office first and life jackets are required to use the boating equipment.
Fridays are Family Movie Night and Saturdays are Karaoke Night in the Rec Hall. Please note: The Rec Hall is closed after Labor Day Weekend for Haunted House Construction.
The Zip Line and Rock Climbing will be open Saturdays at 3 pm and Summer Wednesdays at 6 pm.
We care about our community and the people in it. Our outreach programs benefit local residents and Michigan through our Camping CAN Feed summer food drive and Haunted House Food Drives that benefit God’s Bread Basket of Tecumseh. Please join us to help make these events a success!
Weekends are themed and feature special activities like crafts, games and competitions unique to each weekend.
