Michigan Family Camping Activities
Camping in Michigan is different than year-round camping elsewhere in the United States. Our campers enjoy a wide variety of activities right within our family-friendly campground, plus we are located close to some favorite attractions in Southeastern Michigan.
A skilled bird handler often visits to give an up-close experience learning about a variety of birds and how you can train them.
Meet our Llamas – proud animals who have their own personality! Many children love watching them in the field near the back of the campground.
You may fish for small mouth bass and bluegill in our man-made pond; fishing is catch-and-release only. We sometimes have fish catching contests to see who gets the biggest fish first. The largest bass caught so far was 22 inches long! Our man-made ponds are 10 to 25 feet deep, with the largest pond about 1 acre in size. Enjoy a kayak or paddle boat ride on this pond, but please remember that parents must sign them out and register at the camp office first and life jackets are required to use the boating equipment.
Some weekends feature Pebbles the Clown, who loves visiting with the children and showing them how to make balloon sculptures. Special weekends might have specific activities, like our Halloween weekends featuring are Graveyard Gala. See our Activities Calendar to find out about upcoming events, regular activities, and special days.
